NYC Lights

The other setting I discovered on my camera was the "night" setting. So I played with that as the Bull drove us home from family gatherings in Brooklyn this weekend. My biggest regret is that Sunday night we drove over the Brooklyn Bridge, which was, surprisingly, all lit up in spectacular, changing colors and I didn't pull out the camera until it was too late to get a good shot.

Here are some of the pictures:

I love the last one as well! It's both shot well and the humour...well it's there:)

That last picture was just a stroke of good luck. I didn't even see the bicyclist. The Bull saw him, but didn't see any details just a person on a bike. It took two tries because we were driving past him in the car and the first time I hit the button too soon and just got blank space.

That was the fun part of the night shooting - it was all the luck of the draw - just pointing the camera out the window and shooting and seeing what I got.

Oooh very cool pics. Elphs are so much fun- I'm all Canon and my elph helped me want to move up to the pro level.

Thanks Yolanda. The Bull doesn't know it, but I've had my eye on his Canon digital SLR. Something tells me I know what I want for Xmas. Too bad it's too close to my birthday to unexpectedly ask for such an expensive gift.
